We don't seem to know each other,
but keeping our eyes off one another
is starting to become harder
so our gazes linger a little longer.

Why can't we just pass by
and instead of staring, we say hi?
but after the hi will there be a good-bye?
Maybe then I might get to know you so much,
so much that I might fall in love.
But then ther is this mutual friend
that will bring our relationship to an end,
All because she likes you too
but she's not good enough for you.
She doesn't deserve you as her man
because she can't love you like I can.

So boy don't give her another glance.
Please say you'll give me a chance.
I'll show you how strong my love is.
You'll feel it in every kiss.
And if my love isn't good enough for you
there are other girls who'll love you too.
But if you still want more
that's what this friend is for.
So next time you see me go by
