I lay asleep with peaceful dreams,
Then startled by some deafening screams.
I walk downstairs while no one else home,
Then heard a terrifying moan.
For my eyes have not awaken,
I keep a look out for something mistaken.
I get some candles for there is no light,
Then heard something to give me a fright.
To come to find out it’s just my dog,
Scampering in with a cloud of fog.
Pulling my dog close to me,
Then I feel something I couldn’t quite see.
Then squinting closely to see a dead body,
Then started feeling frightened and naughty.
I started to give a please,
Then felt a stab and fell to my knees.
