as morning dew does fade away
so do the memories of us
broken promises and lies you told
have shattered my fragile trust

beautiful, green leaves so full of life
have now turned to brown
now they die just like us
and go crashing to the ground

enchanting spring has turned to fall
it will never be the same
as snow covers the once warm land
i'll try to forget your name

bitter and cold this season is
it sounds so much like you
it's disappearing without a trace
i'm hoping that you do too

now the sun is setting
on this season of regret
i have let go of you
have you forgotten me yet
