Under the Blossoming Tree

I imagine your smile,
I imagine your face,
I dream of the perfect time,
I dream of the perfect place.

Hoping that one of these days,
You will wrap your arms around me,
Holding me close and tight,
And we will kiss forever, under the blossoming tree.

Under that beautiful cherry tree,
This is where we met,
This is where we had our first kiss,
One that we will never forget.

This is where we would sit,
When it was too hot under the sun,
I will never forget this spot,
Because this is where it all begun.

But now you want this over,
You don't want us to be,
No longer will we kiss,
Under the blossoming tree.

We still hang out around there,
As we talk and stroll around,
Approaching the tree of our memories,
We sit in the shade on the ground.

You're the most handsome man I've ever seen,
I look into your beautiful brown eyes,
We sit there as friends,
Although I dream of a pleasant surprise.

Oh how I dream on and on,
As we sit here under the blossoming tree,
How I still love you,
And how we were meant to be.
