An old man lies down on a bed-
His cries carry out upon the land.
"Leave me be, leave me be!"
His heart aches with pain-
With thoughts of the dead.
Afraid to get close to anyone that comes near.
"Forget me always," he screamed,
"Leave me be, leave me be!"
His eyes grew grey with terror,
His face full of shock.
This black-hooded fellow-
Is getting too near.
He shouted again,
"Go away, leave me be!"
But this fellow was stubborn-
And wouldn't give in.
He entered through the door and to the bed.
The old man's eyes grew-
As he knew what was coming,
"Leave me be, leave me be!" he cried.
The hooded fellow whispered,
The old man's cries were heard-
Through all the land.
That was the last time they saw his face.
Neither crazy nor sane-
The old man died.
