As I sit here alone, i look to the sky
Watching as the sweet memories pass me by
Remembering a time when skies were blue
Realizing now there were so few

But today the sky is very much different
Soft, whispy clouds have came and went
I sit here still, continueing to be mesmerized
Every moment being captured in my eyes

Shadows dancing across my face
I love every single thing about this place
I know theres nowhere else id rather be
Nothing else is worth it to see

Slowly the sky transforms color to color
Its beauty, by far, compares to no other
Locked in time, not wishing to be free
Compelled by the sun melting before me

The wind gently caresses my skin
Saving me from the pain i felt within
Sweet aroma fills the air, off from somewhere
People calling out my name, but i dont care

Birds begin to fly back to their nests
Knowing its already time for rest
Seeing them i know i, too, should
To leave this beautiful day, i dont think i could

For I am at peace here, feeling one with the sky
I would spend eternity here if only i could try
Overwhelming relief becomes me, nothing more
As the wall built around me crumbles to the floor

Just as i feel somethings missing thats not quite right
The sun is extinguished and is inevitably night
So i stand up not knowing where to begin
Day to Night -- A fluid transition.
