If You're Here

If you're here to tell me
you don't want to hear me,
then what do you want,
Michael?
What do you want?
If you're here to tell me
you don't want to see me,
then why are you here,
Michael?
Why are you here?

If there's something I didn't give you,
you stole it from me.
If there's something I didn't tell you,
you'd hold it to me.
If there's someone I didn't show you,
you cheated on me.

So if you're here to scold me
and tell me to leave,
then why did you stay,
Michael?
Why did you stay?

I gave you my heart,
I offered my body,
and sang from my soul.
But you just said no.

I gave you my love,
I took off my clothes,
and I made time for you.
But you left me cold,
Michael.
I should have known.

If you're here to tell me
that I need a friend,
then why did you push me,
Michael.
You saw straight through me.

If there's something you've learned,
if it's finally my turn,
you've arrived much too late,
Michael.
I'm too far away.
