What does it mean
When your world is upside down
When your heart lies broken
Shattered on the ground

Nobody can be trusted
It's gone with the lies
Not listening
They stand and laugh
As you sit and cry

Love never comes your way
So tiny and fragile
Like being in a play
Covering up reality
Crawling inside yourself
Like an ugly doll
Cracked on a dusty shelf

Secluded from the world
Shutting out the pain
Trying to escape
Trying to get away
Still it finds the smallest space
As it slowly and quietly invades

Haunting your dreams
Caressing your mind
Watch as it painfully
Steals your soul
One more time

Pushing you back
Back into emptyness
The lonliness
Seems more frightning
As the void grip of love
Worsens and begins tightning

Agony takes over
Taking the peice of your heart
Ripping and tearing
Breaking it apart

There is nothing left
It's something you can't ignore
Shaking with sobs
Collapsing on the floor

The questions won't be answered
But you'll wonder anyway
Tiredly thinking
Will I find love someday?

You won't get a reply
As you slowly go over
If your ready to die
It's something you've thought through
Praying, asking forgivness
For what your about to do

It's come to this
Rising to your feet
Making a tiny fist
Angry with defeat
Clenching the hands
Pounding the hips

Running to the door
For the last time
Escaping everything
Including your mind
Sick of being trapped
No exit in sight
Finally you see it
And head for the light

The crossing over
Is the best part
Leaving darkness behind
No more ripping and clawing
Or tearing at your heart
