Little Cinderella, hair all in curls
Just to fit in with the popular girls
While they all waltzed and danced through the school
Silly Cinderella, in tears and pearls,
Hated herself for being that cruel
Poor Cinderella, left at the door
Can't stand there waiting for him anymore
Scars getting deeper, pressure even stronger
Sorry Cinderella, all broken on the floor
Not a popular girl any longer
Overlooked and softspoken, she takes in the scene
Ugly but pretty in her torn up jeans
Girls hated her, why? No one knows
Broken-hearted at only sweet sixteen
She hated herself and her torn up clothes
Sad little Cinderella, she failed her prince
She danced by herself; with a partner long since
But he said he loved her- though he wouldn't atone
She said she "understands" but she wasn't convinced
Lonely Cinderella, danced all alone
He told her he'd come back if the shoe fit
Cinderella, now ecstatic, couldn't wait to commit
She spun in circles, letting her curls gently fall
With high hopes and a new smile, she bent to sit
Just to find out: The shoe was too small.
