my broken dream
of limousine
and microphone
and happy home
it's funny how fast
a dream can't last
you drop your bliss
at the chance you miss
and what is a dream
if it's not what it seems?
thoughts run wild
like a little child
you fall asleep
and dream the deep
you feel the fear
of wanting it near
it plants in your brain
and you're not the same
cuz "it's just as far
as the farthest star...."
reality goes
and everyone knows
that you're in too deep
cuz you can't even sleep
my broken dream?
of limousine?
and microphone?
and happy home?
it finally set in
that i could not have been
the girl in my dreams
no matter how real it seems
