Spring sends into fall
Too fast
Dissolves the days that summer spent
Melting our bodies
In to one another
For you I’ll note the days of our summer.
Cancer fevers
Every limb
I Serenade your frail skin
With choral notes that dedicate our summer
Keep alive with love we shared last summer.
Die another day I beg you.
Disappear, promise you’ll never
Golden foiled leaves
Descend
From willows.
Your memories of summer fade with autumn.
It comes December
We’re together
Lighting fires in the snowfall
Come and gone June
When we met and
Wished we’d live our love forever.
But cancer came and thieved away our summer.
