Not the Good Kind of Crush

I've never wanted to ask "Why me?"
but why has my whole life been so lonely?
I was sure I had something real with you,
from the way my friends talk I guess anything is through
This would be so much easier if you weren't perfect.

We live half an hour away,
I guess that takes just too much gas for you to pay.
I know you don't think i'm worth it...
I guess you forgot that when you kissed me,
and now your heart is locked and I've misplaced the key.
I've tried to accept it all, but my hopes can't be wrecked.

I don't want the ones that want me.
I'm crushing them while you're crushing me,
I only wish it was the good kind of crush.
You were only in it for that first rush of love
