She's Moving On

Unravel your layers
Cascading emotions
Fall to the ground.

Smash to the pavement
Breaking bones
Yet you don't make a sound.

You're such a fool
Falling for her
She'll never feel the same.

You'd give the entire world
Just to feel her in your arms
But to her, it's a pathetic game.

Every attempt to smother her
Only makes her voice louder
And her presence stronger.

Is there nothing
That can make her understand
You need her just a little longer?

Maybe in another lifetime
You could have been her princess
And she could've been your queen.

But life doesn't work that way
This isn't a fairytale
And it's not a movie scene.

This is reality
in its purest form
and your unrelenting pain is real.

Suck it up
She's moving on
Your longing for her is surreal.
