So many wisdom beyond your years.
So many smiles, yet so little tears.
Eyes to guide, yet never judge,
I told you about Dan, my one true love.
You didn’t shake your head in disgust.
You merely said you have my trust.
As time passed by, never seaming to amaze me.
Our bodies grew apart, yet our hearts stayed still in part.
Dan was too old, you didn’t care.
All you asked was, Do your love him?
Though Dan and I gradually grew apart,
Your words still played in my heart,
Love doesn’t come around often and when it does, you must never let it go.
I chose to listen to you, I chose to live, I chose to love.
