Beyond the childish fights
I’m selfish
This I know
I’m sorry that you’re the one that I show
But I’m growing up
Right in front of you’re eyes
From daddies little girl
To this young adult
Staying up all night
But I remember everything you’ve said
Everything you’ve taught me
I respect myself
I know right from wrong
You made me tough
You’ve taught me to never settle for just ok
But I should reach for the best
When I get out of control
No one else is there to help me
You set me straight
You don’t lie to me
You will always come before any little boy in my life
I’m just young
I need to have fun
Family means more then the world to me
But I’m still growing
I need that little bit of freedom
I love sitting in the car just talking
Or fishing as I’m throwing up in the bathroom
You help me feel better
When you hold me I feel the warmth
Daddy, I wrote this to you
