As a Girl

As a girl
You feel abandoned
Kicked to the curb in burden
Trapped by the public eye
Twisted thoughts put in our heads
Making us feel like a prisoner in our own minds
Convincing us that we aren’t good enough
Innocence is taken by an interview with lies
A fragile heart burns cold with ice
Individuality is lost
Shatter as a thought
Mistakes in one to many
Confessions arise
Distorted by guys
Misery is brought
Corrupt the young minds
Boyish figures
Abnormal times
As a girl
This is my life
