Can you remember the first time we met,
Exchanging glances is the hall?
You brightened my face with a smile,
Expanding a world oh so small.

You comforted my pain
And filled my life with laughter.
I knew that we could never part
And we were friends for ever after.

You gave me a shoulder to cry on,
A hand for some support,
A voice to express my feelings,
You were my last resort.

You helped me find a reason
Of why I wanted to live
You showed me what I was
And all I had to give.

You demonstrated compassion,
You verified my trust,
You never left me in the cold,
Your love was always just

Through the years,
And your words of advice,
Everything you did,
Would always suffice.

I want to say thank you
For the treasure you shared
For the life that you gave me
Because I know you cared.

And if in some way or another,
Things come to and end,
I hope I’ll always be able to say
Thank you so much, my friend.
