Times we’ve had together
Memories that we have shared
Days we lived our lives
Never admitting that we cared.

Battles that we’ve lost
Wars that we have won
Times when we’ve stood together
And times when we have run.

Games that we have played
Fun times that we’ve had
Times when we could laugh all day
Times that made us sad.

People that we’ve lost
Friends that we have made
Memories that we’ll never forget
And feelings that won’t fade

Months that came and went
Like minutes in a day
Memories of a friendship
That will never fade away

Things we don’t want to remember
And ones we don’t want to forget
People who we don’t want to leave behind
This just can’t be the end quite yet

If only for one day
We could go back and rewind
Stop the flashback movies
That burn into my mind.

This cannot be the end just yet
There’s still so much left to learn
Afraid to have to say good-bye
I know we won’t all return.

Tears falling from my eyes
Pain within my heart
Even though this is an ending
It is also a brand new start.

A question remains in my thoughts
Will you ever know the truth
About how important you are to me?
Treasure the moments of our youth.

Do not think this will be easy
To let go and say goodbye.
It will hurt me greatly
But my hardest I will try.

I will never regret meeting you
Our friendship I will not forget
Do I really have to leave you?
I’m still not ready quite yet.

I have to say so long
To you, my good friend.
High school no longer binds us,
This is now the end.

It hurts to say goodbye
But things are set in stone.
There’s nothing I can do
Things are better off left alone.

Remember me always
For I will never forget you.
And you must always remember
To yourself you must stay true.

Do not share my pain
Do not sit and watch me cry
It will only hurt you more
Because it’s such a hard goodbye

So good luck to you in your future
For now, we’ll part till then.

And I hope we meet again.
