The Unknown

Fleeting moments pass by
But nothing really sticks
Floating above the clouds
You would think it'd be peaceful
Time traverses into nothing
Endless seconds stretching on
No change guaranteed to come
Same old place, same time
Eyes close to a blissful escape
Of dreams only time can bring
Theres a past beyond that window
A mystery behind those eyes
Momentary images flash in the light
But nothings there to grasp
Something unknown to the mind
Changes the soul
Leading it away from its course
No answers are forthcoming
Theres no end to the confusion
No answer beyond the conscienceness of sleep
Still, quiet mind, the key to the cell
For answers are to be withheld
No cognizant mind can truly understand
The mystery must go on
Time must never stop
Fleeting moments pass
Reality becomes that which is lived
But rarely ever felt
Our conclusions are all for naught
For behind the eyes
The mystery will always remain
Unpercieved by human minds
Obsured by the passing time
Lies the Unknown
