Disappointment and regret
The only things that remain
Searching for a better time
But this searching is in vain.

All I find are souvenirs
Of a better time
You slowly disappear and I now know
Loving you was just another crime.

Trying to find a better life.
There’s nothing left to keep me warm
It’s too important to let it stay the way it’s been
But attempting to fix this will only bring me harm.

There is no blame
For how we let things fade
We’ve each had a role
And we’ve each been played.

I have let it weaken.
And now that it is gone,
It’s like it was never there.
We have no choice but to move on.
