It leaves you,
Left out in the rain,
Standing, staring through the storm,
Shattered and vain,

Cold and wet,
Your thoughts turn bitter,
Seeing the things you can’t change,
And too blind to pick up the litter,

It seems hopeless,
Anyway you turn it,
Asking why you have to live it,
To learn it,

If your smart,
You’ll walk in out of the rain,
Denying all lessons,
And ignoring the pain,

But if your lucky,
You’ll stand out in it,
And let the rain take you,
As you cry about it.
