Alone i stand in the pouring rain beneath a black sky

Searching for an escape the lingering past that haunts me daily

Screaming empty words into a midnight sky praying that someone will hear me


Hidden tears beneath the blankets of falling rain

Lost in the darkness of which my soul lies

Crying out for some one to reach out and save me

Consumed by the pain from all there is to be had

Skinned knees are bleeding from the fall that brought me here

Smiling to hide
