Breathless,
Searching, following white lines, guiding me innocently.
I reach out... nothing.
This path never ends.
Promises broken, tears shed,
Endlessly high my addiction is fed.
No cares in this crazy world, always full of laughter.
Wanting, needing.
Never enough.
On both knees, begging, pleading.
Standing on ledge,
One leg high in air, Rocking.
Back. Forth. People all around, spinning.
Words. A puzzle as my mind tries to make sense.
Nothing comes together.
Then,
Suddenly...
I fall.
Air carries body as soul floats above,
I feel nothing, just free.
Everythings quiet.
I look in at me.
Then I realize,
I can't stand what I see.
Feelings end,
I'm back to where I began.
Alone.
I look at my reflection.
Pale face, sunken eyes,
Please someone hel bring me down from this high.
