She said she wanted to live
She said that everything wasn’t good enough
Now, she’s rubbing on my friend’s hand
And, I wanted him to understand
She’s got her father waiting up for her at night

Knowing, she wasn’t alright
Don’t know how to tell him
Don’t know how to tell him what I saw in gym
Knowing, she wasn’t the girl of his world
He didn’t understand what
Drove her into sex
And what she expects

Easing pain never knowing she’s going to end
Never knowing when she isn’t going to be his friend
She waited until no one was awake
And waiting for the right time
To make a mistake
Rolling around getting laid but now he says I thought she was mine
Thinking it isn’t mine

Thinking I shouldn’t have taken my time
She waited until it became dark
Standing all up in my face like that
I noticed that her mistake was stark
Now, we’re in combat
Still thinking, I’ve got news for you

She’s looking at me lying
She’s waiting for me to punch her denying
How much she meant to him
How much he loved her every first day
He spins his pain away

She’s thinking he’s buying her sorry
She’s thinking I’m just lying
Knife starts sliding across her neck
Everything’s turning into a wreck
I have my friend in the back
Waiting for her to come back

Still thinking, I’ve got news for you
I couldn’t move
I scream for her to stop
To prove

Someone does care
Or to watch her declare
The end
Of her and my friend
