Don't Cry

I watch you as you walk around the room
Looking for a certain someone you once knew
You catch a glimpse of me and smile
It's hard to see you after a while
You walk up to me and say hello
I smile back and try to be calm and mellow
But inside I feel a heavy weight on my shoulders
Knowing you and I are over

We talk like nothing between us ever happened
But you and I both know that it's all pretend
You say you found someone else, someone new
Someone that really loves you
I nod and take it all in
I look at you and know it's a painful sin
They say if you love someone, set them free
But I can't let you go so easily

I tell you my final goodbyes
And I tell myself to walk away and never let him see you cry
