True To Yourself

Your supposed to be true no matter what comes by.
True to yourself, and I really try.

But if I were truly to be myself I would break my heart.
It’s just so different with everyone else, and it’s been so since the
start.

For as long as I can tell truth has been by the eye.
Not by the heart, but buy the image you live by.

We all live up to what others do and say.
It tears me up inside by the ending of the day.

So even though it’s hard you should really try,
To judge with the heart and not by the eye.

Some people in this world will always be that way.
But stay to true to yourself no matter what they say.
