I Am Strong

So what, you see you broke my heart, you tore the limbs, pulled it apart.
Am I supposed to cry to sleep; honey sorry wounds aren’t that deep.

I’m stronger than I look I can promise you, I can stand up on two feet after
what you put me through.
Dear, I’m not lost and out of touch like so many you did wrong, like I told
you way before, honey I am strong.

Don’t expect me to cry and lie upon the floor, and mope around all day like
I can’t live anymore.

You hear the many songs, poems, and so on about how the girls are shattered
after the one’s they loved had gone.

You may expect me to be that way, but I won’t follow through. Do you expect
me to ruin my future, just because of you?

Just cause your easy, doesn’t make me blind. I’ve learned my lesson once or
twice, and I have made up my mind.

I’m telling you, honey, I guarantee that I’ll never fall apart simply
because you did me wrong, because you broke my heart.

I won’t fall down simply just because you did me wrong, honey I should warn
you of what I am, I am strong.
