I’m Not Perfect

I’m not perfect I’m nowhere near everyone knows it’s crystal clear. I can’t
be perfect because it’s not me everyone knows they can all see.

So why hide behind a false mirror image? Why do something false and untrue?
Why hide myself and start a scrimmage? Why lie to myself when I can’t lie to
you?

Why hide myself from everyone’s eyes? Because I know I can’t change who I am
on the inside.

Why hurt myself and play pretend? I know what I’ll find out in the end. It’s
the same thing I found out every time you cannot change who your are inside.


Still I know I’m not perfect, but it’s okay because I am unique in every
single way.
I will never fall when people deny and say I’m not perfect, and I will never
try.

Because I am just fine being me. I’m not perfect and I don’t have to be.
