Elegant, simple, Dazzling
Five diamonds sparkle
Across the midnight blue fabric
As the folds drape over themselves
Hiding diamonds and bringing out
The elegant black embroidery
Her pale skin highlights
The midnight blue eyes
That match her simple dress
She inhales slightly in pain
Putting on a perfect doll face
Letting no one see the corsets too tight
Whispers echo around the room
“Look at her” “Who is she”
She’s hidden all her life
Behind the masquerade
No one knows she is
The invisible girl till she let’s them see
Who she can be
The butterfly
Fluttering in for a moment
And Good-Bye for a lifetime
In that handmade dress
