Not in vain

Been the ashtray for more than one
for too many,
for too long.
Developing freedom, under constructing wings.
Time to show you you are wrong.

Absorbed what you give
standing still in pain.
Time for me to gain,
for you to take your pill,
I refuse to let it all go in vain.

Sun come up, sun gone down
all those days come and gone.
Time to let you feel your wrong.

the proof I show, is the portrait you behold.
I hold up the mirror to let you know.

Now you understand, you killed my soul.
being the creature you are(body without heart)
I can't get you back.
cause what I want to take,
you already lack.

But as I proclaimed,
I refuse to let my suffering go in vain.

I pick up your knife,
cut out your tongue,
that give words of deception.
Cut out your eyes,
with visions of betrayal.
Cut off your feet,
which trample my heart.
Cut off your hands,
which strangle my soul.

I watch the blood drip.
Into a puddle of black,
a puddle of vengeance,
a puddle of justice,
a puddle of freedom,
a puddle of relief.
Within your pain I feel no grief.

I stand over you in triumph,
watch you squirm,
hear you screaming,
I know you've learned.

Now humbled by your loss,
you realize your hatred had a cost.

I keep you from death,
keep you from release.
Do as you've done me,
your pain doesn't ease.

With a smile on my face,
I'll let you live in pain.
Then bend down and whisper,
I didn't let it go in vain.
