I guess that you really do have to live to be able to learn
And after you've lived one moment, your human nature forces you to
yearn
I think I've learned a lot, in only sixteen years
I've learned that in order to truly live, you must overcome your fears
I've learned that the most precious gift to ourselves is our youth and
our innocence
And that it's once we've lost all this that situations begin to
get tense
I've learned just how complicated love can really be
And a relationship cannot be based on pleasure, for communication is the
key
I've learned that true friendship is really hard to find
Because it's not about popularity, but rather someone's heart and
soul and mind
I've learned that no man is perfect, and most are hard to trust
And they sometimes can't tell the difference between what's love
and lust
I've learned that it's the little things that can brighten
someone's day
And that even if your day isn't bright, it's only one day, and
next week, you'll be okay
I've learned that life is tough, and just when you're ready to
quit
Something good happens, and you arise from the pit
I've learned that no matter how beautiful someone is, they never are
quite satisfied
Perhaps in order to be perfect, we should fix what's on the inside
I've learned that malicious words are the cause of a broken spirit
Some words cut so deep that our emotions can hardly bear it
I've learned that the people who are different are the ones that lead
the future's path
What usually happens to the head cheerleader? I'll let you do the math
Sure, I'd like to say that I know all there is to know about life
But no matter how much you know or have experienced, you're still gonna
go through strife
The best way to live is with your cup half full
Keep a smile on that face, stay as strong as a bull
You'll learn to love yourself, and others too
And best of all, someone will learn to love you.
