September 11th

Struck with fear and sadness when realization came to pass.

Everywhere in the country the flag was at half mass.

Two worlds clashed together on this heart broken day.

Causing many people to come together and pray.

Loved ones were lost friends sadly perished,

Now all that was left was to be remembered and cherished.

Even though our country was weak our unity became strong

Maybe this might not have happened if it had been this way all along.

Two buildings went down along with many lives,

but those who went left with their pride.

For this country is not perfect that is surely true,

but we will always show pride in the red, white, and blue.
