When I was young, I was carefree
My mom would take care of the cut on my knee
I had nothing to worry about
Everything was perfect, I never had to pout
But now that I am older,
I have a heavy load on my shoulder
As my life becomes more complicated,
My childhood dreams seem to have faded
Every night is full of homework or sports
Instead of playing in my preschool friends' forts
And as I mature
My future seems less clear than before
But everything will be okay
Even if things don't go my way
For life goes on like an endless song
And will continue on this journey long.
