White Eyes

Rain floods through broken windows,
Lightning burning the outside life.
Me sitting in a corner with black tears falling,
Doors creaking throughout the house.

A voice calls to me,
Slowly I stand.
Walking on broken wings,
Repeating the foul voice echoes.

Ghosts floating by to remind me of insanity.
That wretched voice growing louder.
Crashes of metal sounding as life breaks apart.

Up creaking stairs.
Raspy breaths I hear from inside an open door,
Dark inside, lights shot, and windows clouded.

White floods my frozen eyes,
Fear flowing through my numb body.

Slowly walking in the room,
One gust of the arctic wind blows.
I’m now face to face with darkness himself.

A shot sounds through the empty house,
A fallen soul is now to enter.
I look down upon my once known body,
White eyes still glowing,
My new found freedom I adore.
