The Next Step

It痴 been a while since we came here new;

we fumbled and stumbled not sure on what to do.

But look at us now, almost up this new step.

We池e getting closer, but we池e not quite there yet.

We値l say some hellos and good byes as well.

We値l make some new friends and have stories to tell.

We have grown so older and have grown with friends;

we致e healed some heart- aches and some broken mends.

We致e been there in the good and in the bad,

and we値l never forget these times we have had.

Soon we will have to let this chapter slip away,

and begin a new one a brand new day.

We will step up higher and grow a little more.

And learn a new lesson and open a new door.

We値l be sad at times and as happy as can be,

its all a part of growing up you see.

I値l admit that I知 nothing less than scared,

and I知 hoping to god that I値l be prepared.

But deep in my heart I know I can succeed,

and I can triumph over any hurtle that I meet.

I値l stumble sometimes but I値l come up all right,

and I won稚 ever fall if I keep good in sight.

I wish the same for you as we take this step,

and do me one thing please never forget.
