Each waking second
Feels infinately long
I cannot stop thinking
That something is wrong

I try to become
Who they want me to be
They seem to dislike
My personality

It's said "don't be loved
For being someone you're not"
But I would rather be loved
Than sit alone and rot

Every time I love
They always shoot me down
Every time I try to fly
I end up on the ground
So I step by so softly
As to never make a sound
I just need something
To turn this all around.
