"This really happened the whole poem is true"

A little girl stands looking at what she has done
Never wanting to redo her mistake
She thinks to herself knowing her mother is gone
She didn’t want to make the same mistake
Leaving with her brother and sister
Only her dad to care for her
Her Dad helps her through the pregnancy
The father of the baby denies
She’s left with his arrogance
And secrets and lies
She’s ready
Everything around her starts to spin…
Not seeing that everything’s surrounded her
Knowing a new life is about to begin
Knowing what she did wasn’t wise
But it seemed like the best thing to do
As she’s pushing, pain fills her
But when she did it she didn’t know
What she got herself into
She’s becoming a mother for her own self
Knowing she would have to care and bathe it
As she held her baby
It opened its eyes
Looking at mommy
As she talks to her child
Happiness comes to her
Look what I’ve done
I had my own child
The little girl grew up
Loving her mother so much
Not knowing what’s outside of mom’s cup
The little girl looks at her mom
Not knowing what she went through
Her mother’s just staring at her crying
Crying because of what she did
Crying because of she said
Mommy why are you crying she asked
I’m happy
Happy cause you’re my own baby
My own big girl Shell
Years pass, Shell’s getting older
A little bit more wiser
Shell walks in the door
Turning looking at her mother
And she smiles
Giving her a big huge hug saying
I love you mom…
