Their Lives were drowning in alchohal

She told him she loved him to the bottom of her soul
Sick and tired of it, she had to take control
She told him not to go out to the bar
She told him if he was to walk and not take the car
When he was out she would take a walk
Think to herself, and hear herself talk
Why was he doing this? Even though she said No
Their lives had fallen right down below
One night as she was out for her nightly ramble
When her husband went to drink and gamble
A car came speeding down the street
She hadn't time to think, it happened in a heartbeat
She would never Know what happened after that
That car had struck her and knocked her flat
If only he had listened and didn't go out that night
If only he weren't drunk and didn't run that stoplight
His wife would have still been alive
If he weren't to drink and drive....
