Mixed emotions
A twisted heart
Torn to pieces
For it was broken from the start

Shattered and stained
I was lost at what to do
Then came my angel
And my angel was you

You helped me find the shards
And sew the pieces back
You helped me see it still was pure
There was nothing that it lacked

You helped it bloom into a beauty
It never had before
I now had you and the love we shared
And wanted nothing more

You taught me how to smile
And how to laugh again
You told me things would all work out
And it would all be alright in the end

And I believed every promise
Every word and every kiss
I didn't know you'd be gone so soon
Leaving me in an endless abyss

My heart was again shattered
Pain seeped from every crack
I knew my angel now was gone
And was never coming back

So I taped the pieces together
And glued in every shard
But it can't beat without my angel
And I find living to be too hard
