All Alone

As she thinks back on the times before
Now wanting that happiness even more
Trying to remember when her despair wasn’t real
Trying to remember how it was to feel
Her body is numb from the beatings she’s been taking
Her heart is sore from all its aching
As she draws the blade across her wrist
A blissful feeling, she can’t resist
While crimson liquid flows from her gash
She knew her decision was far from rash
This was her escape, her only way out
She considered other ways, but never had a doubt
Her vision was blurring, she was becoming weak
A single tear falls from her pale cheek
She draws her last breath with a slight moan
Her very last words were “I’m all alone...”
