I've spent my life searching
only to find a shadow of you
what happened to your smile
the warmth that I once knew
You were everything to me
full of life and always trying
what happened to this soul
has it slowly begun dying?
where are those arms
ones that used to hold me tight
what happened to the man
who used to tuck me in at night
where have these memories gone
and why are they just a thing of the past
so many years spent all alone
