Across the pond...

To the families we called our own,
and the city that sheltered our dreams,
we who are but observers
in the distance,
meet your cries with waiting ears
and will forever stand ready
to keep you in our hearts,
standing on our strange shores.

Like Orphaned children...

We will wait for the melody of memories
which sing the stories we discovered,
and in turn,
pass on the song which becomes
and anthem for all humanity.

(After spending two months in London, I send my thoughts through these words
in hopes that they will ease the tragedy of the friends that I have come to
love and respect...)
