Why does it happen like this
a body gone so cold
I’m in denial about it
but the stories been told
how can you die
how can someone die
life belongs in the body
and death in the ground
this is what became of Jimmy
now he utters not a sound
you don’t expect it to happen
but then one day it does
the inevitable comes faster
takes a life then goes
why do I cry so much
for a life I did not know
how can anyone think so much
that something didn’t go
my heart it beats
a breath of life so valuable
now his heart quits
once beating now it’s cold
death has come, finally
the end is near for all to see
but then so young
