It's been a while since we've had time to talk
Or go out and meet each other on a walk
And it's been some time sinve all we've been through
But there's still some things I need to say to you
I wanted you to know I loved the times we've shared
Wanted to say thank you for showing you cared

Must say I'm disappointed it can't be that way anymore
But after it all I thought you should know

And after all the years you still are special to me
though maybe not quite the way it used to be
The times we've shared together I'll always remember
Even if our love doesn't last forever
Just needed you to know you've brought so many smiles to my face
Made me feel prettier than lace
And that I'll always be here for you
To talk and laugh or listen and comfort...just like you used to
