I ask for a worthy cause
I ask if you know of any
I ask for something worth dieing for
Because I will be the PARTISAN

I ask because
I have not found
Any cause
Worth dieing for

Not my country
Not my people
Not my family
Or even my own life
I have found no cause worth dieing for

Don’t tell me of nature
For we are nature’s tool
Brought forth to destroy
So that when we perish in our turn
New life will spring

Don’t tell me of peoples suffering
For it is part of nature
And if it wasn’t meant to be
It wouldn’t

Don’t tell me for my country
For it could just as easily be another
And then what would you say?
Because I would then be your enemy

Don’t tell me for my people… My “race”
For they do not exist
In our world today

Don’t tell me for my family
For they are there only till their own deaths
And then again I am without cause

Don’t tell me for myself
For I am but one person
And no individuals matter
In the masses

Don’t tell me for the future
For the future shall come anyways
And whatever be when it comes
Shall cope as we do

Do not tell me for love
For love is never meant to last
So why fight for something
That won’t be there the next day

So I ask you
What is a cause worth dieing for?
Tell me please
For I will fight and die in its name
Because mine does not matter
I will be the PARTISAN
