Every teen is a poet
Even if they don't know it
We all have hard times
Something to write about
I am not talking about love
But our fucked up young lives
We all know those keniving
Girls who will become a slut
Just to become well known
Or those young men who
Bring a gun to school
Because all the supposed cool
Kids made fun of them
Because they play D&D
On a Friday night
Instead of the Friday night lights
We all know the Thugs
The kids who fathers never even gave 'em a hug
Just left them and called them another mistake
We all even know ourselvess
Limit ourselve to a group
Can't even get out and re-define ourselves
But when we do, were now outcasts
From our old friends
Friends think that we abandoned them
Because we branched out
And met all the other interesting people
At our school, church or on the street
But since were so scared to loose
Our supposed true friend
We stick with our already defined groups
Thugs, Jesus Freaks, Goths,
Preps, Jocks, Skaters, and Dead end kids
But in the end
We are all human beings
No other title should define us
