In Your Arms

It started off kind slow
Eventually it did warm up
The armrest, no longer down
And now can't hold your cup

As the movie nears the middle
You tell me you'll be back
I watch you get up and leave
Time passed too slow to track

I found it hard to watch the screen
When you're so far away
I glance at the empty seat next to me
Is everything okay

I finally see a dark figure
And I knew it had to be you
Walking up the steps and towards me
You did what I've longed for you to

Sitting down closer than before
Your arm goes around my waist
You scoot some over to my seat
I brush my hair out of your face

I uncross my arms unconsciously
My left arm is now around you
I feel your hand repositioning
I can feel the warmth pass through

I smile in the dark, just to myself
In your arms, it felt so right
I can feel your eyes upon me
Tell how you feel, I wish you might

Music played as the credits rolled
But how can I ever leave this behind
I wanna stay in your arms for endless hours
To be with you for all of time
