The Woman I Once Knew

I once knew a Woman,
That Made My Life Complete,
But her compassion Was Lacking,
Like a Cold heart in hell,
That was already cracking.
She was the Best Thing That ever Came My Way,
But seemed to fall Short When Commitment Played.
The Truth be Told She had So much to Offer,
But I screwed it Up By Being Another.
I went To Far to her privacy I invade,
So she sent me along to be on My Way.

She knows not that I cry every night,
Wishing her Mind Would Change, With All My Might.
I Don’t Want to Lose her but She’s Made it Clear
My Bed is not hers for never to Share.
The sadness Takes its Toll and Wears Me out,
So By the end of the day I’m all grouchy and pout.
If she sees this one day and Wants to Know the Truth,
She has but to ask and I’ll open My Book.
The Trust in her I feel so Strong,,
I’ll offer My Life Till the Day I’m Gone
To the Woman I once knew,
My Last offer is free,
of a Life Time Of Love,
.....Unconditionally.
