You sit beside me
Holding onto my hand
Blackness surrounds our seats
The promises we keep, you understand

I come around the corner
Your gentle kisses are on my mind
Love was suddenly reborn
You grabbed my hand keeping in mind

Even though we argue
I promise, I swear
Even though sometimes we don’t get along
I’m always gonna be there

We hadn’t seen each other in while
You glanced at me in the aisle
Me climbing the stairs with a smile
I never saw this coming
I never thought this would happen

I remember this
It’s so hard to forget
You holding onto me, even the soft gentle kisses
It’s nothing I ever regret

I look at you and smile
But after a while
I’m scared
You squeeze my hand to say you’re there

Tears started to fall
But I held them back
With a smile, so wild
I never wish to go back

After the movie
It was clear for them to see
Feelings flew from you and me
But then that same night, we set each other free

But friends
We shall be
