The Bare Journey To Nowhere

We packed our bags
With empty air
We waved goodbye
To things and stuff
We left behind
What we had gained
And got aboard the naked train

The train pulled out
With no loud noise
We waved so long;
The empty station.
We left behind
Near all we had
And crawled off in the naked train

We drifted off
To somewhere new
We waved goodbye
To all we knew
We left behind
Our old thoughts too
And went away in the naked train

We did not speak
The silence reigned
We sat in thought
Of all we’d done
We left behind
Our old lives now
And never would return again.
